Today we were very honoured to be presented with the Annie Williams Prize for our participation in the Primary Shakespeare Julius Caesar Project. This was presented to us at the House of Lords by Baroness Estelle Morris of Yardley. Two Year 5 pupils represented their class and told the prestigious audience about the wonderful cross curricular work they had completed with Miss Carruthers when they were in Year 4. This included  English monologues, Maths mosaics, Project research, Science classification keys, Roman Art and even some raps! The children spoke beautifully and we were very proud of them, as well as being proud of the achievements of the whole class, which resulted in them being selected to win the overall prize. We now have an amazing trophy and the whole class will be taken to see a show at the theatre. We are so excited!

It was wonderful to hear about the work of the two other schools who were presented with awards and to meet some of the trustees who help to fund the projects. Without them and the dedicated Primary Shakespeare Team , we would not have this marvellous opportunity. As a school we truly value a creative curriculum and the memorable experiences created Thank you.

Well done to Miss Carruthers, Mrs Healy and everyone involved in the Julius Caesar project!
