A group of Year 6 children attended a Creative Art Workshop at Queen’s College Preparatory School this morning.

The children focused on the British Artist ‘Mark Hearld’ and his skill of layering by adding textures and patterns to his work.

Using a variety of materials the children made their own bird sculpture by designing their own patterns, adding colour, paint and finally assembling their bird by using the skill of layering.

The children produced some skilful and creative work! It was a good opportunity to work with the children of Queen’s College and share fantastic ideas.

Many thanks to Queen’s College for a valuable session.
