Today Class 6 visited Hallfield Primary School to compete in a Spelling Bee competition against the Year 6 Hallfield pupils. The standard of the competition was extremely high, with the teams being asked to spell challenging words such as ‘conscious’, ‘leisure’, ‘professional’, ‘secretary’, ‘cemetery’ and ‘environment’. We were very proud of our team, who managed to win the competition by two points. One of our team also became the overall Spelling Bee Champion of Champions when he correctly spelt ‘penicillin’.

A big, ‘Well done!’ to all of the children in Class 6, who have practised hard for the competition. Our spelling has definitely improved as a result. We  would also like to thank the Hallfield pupils and teachers for making us feel so welcome.
