Year 4 celebrated Science Week with a trip to Queen’s College, just steps away from St. Vincent’s!  During our visit, the children spent the morning in the lab. They participated in several studies, demonstrating various states of matter and how they convert from one state to another. Students took part in some hands-on experiments, such as making slime from cornstarch and water, and observed several others, including “Elephant’s Toothpaste” (mixing hydrogen peroxide and potassium iodide to form a foaming gas) and the “Screaming Jelly Baby”, where a solid was turned into a gas!  The students had a fun and educational morning!
