During this half term, our outdoor sport has been Basketball and we have been developing our skills and teamwork to help us build confidence when playing matches.

Over the last few weeks, we have been working on our dribbling skills, passing techniques, shooting abilities and learning all the rules of match play so that we can make sure that we playing fairly and working with our teammates.

This week, our focus was on finding space so we could receive passes and we started with a warm up before going into a game of piggy in the middle. The aim was to keep the ball away from the defender and score as many passes as we could in 1 min. After that, we played a class tournament to see if we could apply our skills into the game, with the main focus on communication between our teammates.

It has been wonderful to see Year 4 challenge themselves and keep on persevering to improve their skillset in basketball.
