This week, we have been taking part in Science Week across school with lots of different activities and we were asked by Miss Drury to select a question we would like to answer as this year’s theme was: What are you curious about?
We decided to look in the following question: What is the best design for a paper aeroplane?
So we got to folding our pieces of paper to see what kind of designs we could make in order to create the best paper aeroplane in order to make it travel the furthest and stay in the air for the longest time. We then took our creations to the roof and took part to see who’s paper aeroplane would travel the furthest. To keep it a fair test, everyone had to throw their planes at the same time and also from the same place. It was really interesting to see who’s design got the furthest. We may possibly have another go this week with some home made designs!
Did you enjoy taking part in our experiment Year 4?
