Thank you for supporting our most recent Book Fair!
This half term, we hosted two days to welcome families to our Book Fair at St Vincent’s, and what a special two days they were. With the first day falling on World Book Day and the second coming straight after, the buzz around reading was even stronger than usual. Children arrived full of excitement, enthusiasm and a real love for books following such a joyful day of celebrations.
It was a pleasure to see them browsing the shelves, talking about the different titles on offer and making thoughtful choices about what to take home. Alongside the wide range of books, the stationery stand proved very popular, with many pupils leaving happily with new notebooks and pointers.
We are pleased to share that, thanks to the purchases made, the school will receive book rewards which will allow us to add more titles to our classrooms and library. These rewards are an important way for us to keep our collections varied and engaging, giving children regular opportunities to explore new authors and genres.
A big thank you goes to Miss Gomez and Mrs Hope for their help in running the fair, especially impressive given that they were also fully in character as Frida Kahlo and Queen Elizabeth II for World Book Day. We are also especially grateful to MC, who not only counted up the totals carefully but also supported customers throughout both selling sessions.
