On Tuesday, Year 1 had an amazing opportunity to visit the Science Museum as part of our Explorers topic, where we explored the exciting space exhibition.
We began our day by travelling to the museum by bus, followed by a short walk in the sunshine — we were very lucky with the beautiful weather! Once inside, we headed straight to the exhibition, where we discovered so many fascinating things. The children were especially excited to see a real piece of moon rock, an astronaut’s space suit, and the equipment astronauts use to communicate. They also loved learning about the different planets in our solar system and impressed us with how many they could name.
After a busy morning, we stopped for lunch, which was much needed as everyone was very hungry! In the afternoon, we split into smaller groups and spent some time exploring other areas of the museum before heading back to school.
We had such a wonderful day, and a huge thank you to the parents who came along to support us — we really appreciate it!
