This week, Green Team met to take part in our own chutney tasting activity. Last week we researched and selected different flavours to try, and this week we enjoyed tasting them with cheese and crackers. The children carefully sampled each chutney and scored them to decide which flavour they liked best.
The scores were:
Apple and pear chutney – 6/10
Caramelised onion chutney – 3/10
Tomato chutney – 7/10
Chilli jam – 9/10 ⭐
The overall winner was chilli jam!
This activity encouraged communication, teamwork and decision-making skills while introducing the children to new tastes and flavours.We are now ready for the next stage of our Schools to Market project!
