Harvest Festival is a special time of year when we come together to give thanks for the food we have and reflect on the importance of helping those who are less fortunate than ourselves. It is a wonderful opportunity to show kindness, generosity and compassion, reminding us of the importance of sharing what we have with others in our community.
This term, St Vincent’s proudly supported the City Harvest Food Drive, a fantastic initiative that provides food and essential supplies to individuals and families facing hardship, particularly during the colder winter months.
Our school community came together in an incredible display of generosity, donating an amazing 19 crates of food! This is a fantastic achievement, especially compared to the 10 crates we collected last year. We are absolutely delighted to have nearly doubled our donations!
A huge thank you to all our wonderful children, families and staff for their kindness and generosity. Every single donation will help make a difference to someone in need, and we are incredibly proud of what we have achieved together.
We would also like to give a special mention to our fantastic Pupil Chaplaincy Team, who worked so hard to promote the food drive across the school. From visiting classrooms and creating eye-catching posters to helping collect and organise the donations, they demonstrated wonderful leadership, teamwork and a true commitment to helping others.
Well done, St Vincent’s! What a beautiful example of our school community putting our values of love, kindness and compassion into action. Together, we really can make a difference!
