This week Year 1 began their new science topic of animals including humans. To begin our topic we had an exciting introductory lesson.
An important part of this science topic is learning the different names of parts of our bodies. We started by drawing around one of the children’s bodies so that we would have a life sized body to work with. We then looked at the names of different parts of our bodies and began to identify which part of the body they belong to. It was a very interesting lesson and the children loved this challenge so much.
By the end of the lesson the children were so confident with labelling parts of the body and even knew a song to go along which will help us to remember.
