What a fantastic start we’ve had to the new nursery year! The children have settled in brilliantly and have already begun exploring their new environment with lots of enthusiasm and curiosity.
Throughout the week, we’ve been helping the children get used to daily routines and learn more about the different activities we have here at school. They’ve been busy making new friends, discovering the classroom spaces, and enjoying both indoor and outdoor play.
To support transitions and help everyone feel more comfortable, we’ve been learning lots of songs and rhymes — and the children have picked them up wonderfully! There have, of course, been a few tears (which is very normal in the early days), but overall the atmosphere has been full of smiles, laughter, and fun.
This week, the children also had their first experience of singing and music sessions, which were a big hit! They even joined the rest of the school for their very first whole school assembly — a big step that they handled beautifully.
We’re so proud of how well each child is settling in, and we’re looking forward to many more exciting weeks ahead!
