Following on from all of the Geography that we learned and practised at Sayers Croft, Year 6 have  created accurate, detailed maps of Ewhurst.

We needed to put into practice our knowledge of  map reading, using compass directions, understanding scale as well as recognising Ordinance survey symbols.

We also built on our knowledge of co-ordinates from Maths lessons by learning about 6 figure grid references. Once we had finished our maps, we worked with our partners to describe the location of key places, using 6 figure grid references accurately, which was very tricky!

Which part of our Geography lessons have you enjoyed most, Year 6?
