This week was Anti-Bullying Week, and we focused on being kind to one another and thinking about what it means to be a good friend. To start our week, we designed odd socks to celebrate how we are all different and unique. We have many similarities such as being part of the same school community and class but we are all individuals with our own interests, likes, and dislikes.
We also created our own friendship cake! We used a special recipe that included kindness, love, hugs, kisses, and of course care. The children added all the different qualities that make a great friend and stirred them together in a bowl.
We played games, including a colour hunt, to help children practise taking turns and showing respect to their friends. It has been an important week to celebrate in Nursery, and this is learning we will continue to explore throughout the year.
