  1. Paul y6 says:

This week’s gospel was a short one and the word that stood out for me is ‘Jesus’ because there is little to distract from him in this gospel and he stands in the centre. Jesus, or moreover his teachings, is the life this gospel is talking about.

  2. Julia Yr6 says:

    This weeks gospel is LIFE
You live a life so you can do good things and make some mistakes in your life but that is why you always learn from your mistakes and try again and you might get it the next time.

  3. Nicolas yr 4 says:

This week‘s Wednesday word is LIFE. We are like sheep, sometimes going the wrong way and making the wrong choices. But Jesus always loves us and shows us they way back to God.

  4. Theo Y5 says:

This week’s Wednesday Word is Life. Life is a beautiful gift we received from God. My family makes my life happy because we always have each other and we can rely on each other. Life is a beautiful journey and it’s important to have your dearest people with you.

  5. Elisa Y5 says:

This week’s word is LIFE. Jesus says he is like a shepherd for us: he likes and loves us all just as we are. But he also is there for us when we make mistakes, to help us go back to the right way, the way of love.

  6. Mason Rosario says:

This Gospel means that Jesus is like a kind shepherd who knows us, loves us, and always keeps us safe. Even when we feel worried or scared, He is always with us, and no one can take us away from His love.

  7. Alexander Y4 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is life. In the gospel, Jesus is the Good Shepherd who looks after his sheep. He is always forgiving and never gives up on his sheep. We can be good sheep by being kind, telling the truth, helping others out, being generous and sharing with others.

  8. Guerlain Y3 says:

Life is about just living your life trying your best to live like Jesus and use it for faith and prayer we should go to church every Sunday to learn about the prophets that are written in the Old Testament. Everybody should understand the word of the Lord and pray for everybody especially at this time of Pentecost.

  9. Elisa Y4 says:

This week’s word is LOVE. Jesus says the most important thing is love. If we love each other, people will recognize us as his disciples. Because we will behave exactly like him and follow his footsteps.

  10. Alexander Y4 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is love. Jesus gave a commandment that we should love one another like he loves us. We can show love to each other by being kind, generous, caring and helpful. By doing this, we are following the teachings of Jesus which helps us become better people.

  11. Nicolas yr 4 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is Love. Before Jesus arrested he said that we should love another like we love ourselves. We can do this by helping others and respecting others and treating them like we would like to be treated.

  12. This week’s Wednesday word is LOVE!
Before he was arrested Jesus said ‘Love another as I have loved you.` Jesus wants us to be kind to others, support them and help them. We can do this by spreading Jesus’ love and kindness to the world:being kind to enemies, strangers and more. What Jesus is saying is that how bad or how much you love someone you should always treat them with love and equality just like you would like to be treated or how Jesus treats you. Doing this means that we are follow Jesus’ teachings which helps us grow kinder and be more like him.

  13. Alexandra Y4 ✝️ says:

This week’s Wednesday word is Love. Jesus told the disciples to love one another, just as he had loved them.

Jesus spent time with people, especially those who were sick, lonely, frightened or poor. He listened to them and ate with them. He healed them and he helped them to change their lives for the better.
Jesus wants us to do the same. We can try to do this by treating others with respect despite our differences. Without Love the world will not be a nice place to live in.

  14. Chloe Y1 says:

True peace comes from God, and it provides calmness. I feel peace when I am at church.

  15. This Wednesday word is Peace. Jesus gave us peace. Jesus love us and wants us to love him. To accomplish this he gave us peace and he wants us to be in peace with everyone.

  16. Florence Y4😃 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is Peace. Peace is like another word for calm: a state of quietness and meditation. We can show peace by no wars, not arguing as much and no hatred. Jesus showed peace by sacrificing himself on the cross.

  17. This week’s Wednesday Word is Peace. Peace means to me that I am able to live without worry, feeling safe and happy, and having good relationships with others. Peace also means no violence or war. It’s important to be kind to other people and live peaceful life.

  18. Elisa Y5 says:

This week’s word is PEACE. Jesus says he gives to us all peace. The peace of Jesus is the peace in our hearts. It means to be calm and happy, and to be kind and helpfull with friends and family and evryone around us.

  19. Alexander Y4 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is peace. In the gospel, Jesus told his disciples those who love him will listen and keep to his words. Jesus gives his disciples the gift of peace. We can share the gift of peace by being peacemakers. We can do this by standing up for one another, sharing with each other, helping each other, and being kind.

  20. Guerlain Y3 says:

Peace is important because Pope Francis wanted peace between all of us and peace is a thing that can bring us all together. Pope Francis really wanted us to be Pilgrims of Hope in peace.

  21. Madeleine Y5 says:

This week’s word is Pentecost. Pentecost is when the Holy Spirit descended on Jesus’ disciples. They were filled with the ability to preach Gods word throughout the whole world. On the day of Pentecost, the disciples saw tongues of fire that had appeared above their heads, a gush of wind went through the room as they felt the presence of Jesus and God near them. Suddenly, they all started speaking different languages. People who heard them came towards them, amazed about hearing someone speak in their language. Ever since then, the disciples started preaching everywhere they could. We now remember them on the day of Pentecost and celebrate how Jesus sent the Holy Spirit down to us as a gift.

  22. Julia Yr6 says:

    This weeks gospel is PENTECOST
PENTECOST is when the HOLY SPIRIT came down from heaven and the DISCIPLES saw tongues of fire above them and they could speak every language you could think of and they spread the message to everyone in their own language.

  23. The quality I think is really important in our world today is self-control because if you cannot control yourself, it will badly affect people around you and yourself. You might do or say bad things and it will affect others and your future. The Holy Spirit can help us develop this quality just as he helped the disciples to preach God‘s Word.

  24. Nicolas yr 4 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is Holy Trinity. Jesus tells us that God comes in three persons: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The father loves the son and the son loves the father. The Spirit is the love between them.

  25. Holy Trinity is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. They all represents god who sent Jesus and the Holy Spirit to guide us and tell us a about the good news.

  26. This week’s Wednesday Word is HOLY TRINITY. By discussing with my father, I found out that this passage highlights the unity of the Trinity and the Spirit’s role in continuing Jesus’ teachings. John 16:12-15 is part of Jesus’ farewell discourse, where he prepares his disciples for his departure and the coming of the Holy Spirit. In this passage, Jesus acknowledges that his followers cannot yet grasp everything he wants to reveal, but he assures them that the Spirit of Truth will guide them into full understanding. The Good News is that the Spirit of Truth will come to lead us into understanding when we have questions.

  27. This week’s Wednesday Word is Holy Trinity. The Holy Trinity is a Christian belief that God is one but exists in three persons: Father, Son (Jesus) and Holy Spirit. These free are all God, yet each has a unique role.

  28. Elisa Y5 says:

This week’s word is HOLY TRINITY. It is the most important mistery of our religion. Something we can not really understand but something we have trust in. Our God is one but has different roles in each of his persons. It is the love that unifies the three different persons, because our God is love.

  29. The Holy Spirit is a difficult concept for me to understand because in the Gospel he never says anything and he is portrayed as many things. I think the Holy Spirit is the love between Jesus and the Father.

  30. Alexander Y4 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is Holy trinity. In the gospel, we learn the Holy spirit will guide us to the full truth and teach us about what is yet to come. The Holy trinity means three persons in one which are God the Father, the Son and the Holy spirit.

  31. Florence Y4🫶🏽🤩 says:

This week’s Wednesday Word is HOLY TRINITY. The Holy Trinity is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, It is like the Sign Of The Cross where it is 3 in 1.The Holy Spirit came down in Pentecost to the disciples so they speak different languages in different countries. The Father is God, he is the Father of everyone in the world. We are all a big family. Finally, the Son is Jesus. Jesus taught children to love one another, told them about God’s Love and healed them when they were sick.

  32. Chloe Y1 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is Nourish. I am nourished with the love from my family and friends, and through prayer.

  33. Alexander Y4 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is nourish. To nourish something or someone means showing the person or object care and love. In the gospel, Jesus nourishes the crowd of five thousand people by performing a miracle with the five loaves and two fish which fed the crowd.
We can follow Jesus’ example by being kind, sharing, and caring to our friends and family. In doing this, we will nourish each other’s lives and make the world a better place.

  34. Florence Y4 🐒 says:

This Week’s Wednesday word is NOURISH. Nourish means to feed people with nutritious food for us to stay healthy and gain strength. In the Gospel this week, it talks Jesus feeding 5000 people (which is known as Jesus feeding the 5000) but they only had 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes. The disciples thought that it was impossible for them to buy them enough food or they thought it was impossible. But Jesus looked up to the heavens and blessed to bread and fish and shared it out to the town and when they all finished eating there were 12 baskets full of food left over.

  35. If you struggle pray God for help as he will NOURISH with his love and prayers and you will feel better.

  36. This week’s Wednesday Word is nourish. Nourish means to provide living things with the food and other things they need to grow, be healthy, and stay alive. My family is nourished from the love I give it to them.

  37. Nicolas yr 4 says:

His week‘s Wednesday word is nourish. It reminds us that Jesus looks after us and brings us closer together and that we should do the same by sharing our possessions with other people and looking after those in need.

  38. This week’s Wednesday Word is Nourish.Jesus blessed the 5 loaves of bread and two fish and it fed 5000.At Church the priest blesses the bread and wine and they turn into the Eaucharist.

  39. This gospel is similar to the gospel where Jesus turned water into wine. It is similar because both have the same message for us: we give what we have and God will do his bit to make it much bigger and greater than we could on our own.

  40. Julia Yr6 says:

This gospel teaches me that we all need Jesus’s help so he can make us bigger and stronger than we can by ourselves.

  41. Florence Y4☀️☀️😎 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is CHURCH. A church is a special place to worship God, pray and meditate. We often go there every Sunday or at school we go there altogether like we had a mass about the Epiphany. In the gospel, Jesus talks about God’s house which is the church. He explains that Peter should act as the rock that the church Jesus would build it on, it shows that love that Peter shows to not let Jesus down. Jesus also says to Peter ‘I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven: whatever you bind on Earth shall be considered bound in Heaven; whatever you loose on Earth shall be considered loosed on Heaven’ this means that Jesus trusts in Peter and that Peter obeys Jesus with all his heart. We can go to church more weekly to show our love for God and Jesus and that we respect Him.

  42. Mason Rosario says:

Jesus wants us to know who He really is God’s Son.
Peter said it out loud, and Jesus was proud of him.
Jesus gave Peter a special job because Peter believed in Him.
He trusted Peter to help take care of His followers the Church.
If we believe in Jesus and listen to God, He can do big things through us too!

  43. Alexander Y4 says:

This week’s Wednesday word is Church. A church is a special place where we can worship and get closer to God and Jesus. In the gospel, Jesus talks about Peter being the rock on which his church would be built. Peter’s role is to spread the word of Jesus. We go to church to pray to God and Jesus on Sundays, and celebrate special occasions with God such as the Holy sacrament, baptism, confirmation and weddings.

  44. Fabi Y6 😁 says:

This week’s Gospel is all about CHURCH. In this gospel, Jesus explains to the disciples that people that believe in him shall go to heaven. The lord has taught the disciples that he is Christ, the holy one and the son of David.

  45. This week’s Wednesday Word is about church. Church is a special building where people who believe in God gather to worship, pray, and learn about their faith. It’s a place for Christians to come together, sing songs, hear stories and spend time with others and family.

  46. This week’s Wednesday word is Church. In the Gospel Jesus says that because Peter believed he was the Son of God without proof he is trustworthy enough to have the Church built on him and the keys of heaven.

  47. Elisa Y5 says:

This week’s word is CHURCH. Jesus estabilished Church as a tangible sign of the love of God for men and women. Peter called Jesus the Christ so Jesus decided he must be the first leader of the Church, the first Pope. Also nowaday God acts through Church and his leader, the Pope.

  48. Chloe Y1 says:

This week’s word is Church. It’s a place that gives me peace and where I can learn more about Jesus’ teachings.
