Welcome to our Year 1 class page. Here you can keep up to date with our latest topics and learning in class.
To start our year off in Class 1 we will be focusing on the topic of ‘Toys’. During our History lessons we will find out lots of information about toys in the past and compare this with toys we have today. The children will explore a range of materials and their properties during their Science lessons and will use their imagination and creative ideas to design their own toys in Design and Technology.
We have a topic table in class where we encourage children to bring in an item from home this could be a toy, story or something they have made relating to our topic. We love to explore and talk about these in class.
Finally we have a creativity afternoon on Friday 21st September at 1.45 – 3pm. Please join us to get involved with lots of making and creating with the children!
