Dear parents and Year 4,
Multiplication and division are key skills in Year 4 Mathematics as they both feed into each other.
It is a really good idea to keep practicing division alongside multiplication as it will help you to become more fluent and quicker in your times tables.
I have attached a PowerPoint for you to watch that explains the bus stop method of division.
Confidence with the bus stop method is essential before we move onto other methods of division and multiplication that are much trickier!
I have also attached some questions for you to practice dividing using the bus stop method.
