This year, our Green Team and Year 2 pupils took part in the exciting Schools to Market project – a fantastic initiative that gave the children a real taste of enterprise, sustainability, and teamwork.

As part of the project, Year 2 enjoyed a hands-on planting workshop, a marketing session, and a visit to a working farm. Meanwhile, our Green Team took part in a chutney masterclass, where they learned valuable cooking skills and created their very own chutney right here at school.

This week, all their hard work came together as they prepared for our Market Day at Whole Foods, High Street Kensington. The children packed and priced their jars, designed eye-catching posters, and proudly set up their stall. On the day, they confidently engaged with customers, offered tasters, and successfully sold every single jar of chutney!

It was a real pleasure to see the children interacting with the public in such a positive and professional manner. They represented the school beautifully, and it was lovely to spot a few familiar faces supporting them at the market too.

To celebrate their success, the children enjoyed a well-deserved cookie after a very busy and rewarding day.

A huge well done to Green Team and Year 2 – what a brilliant project and fantastic achievement!
