This year St. Vincent’s Catholic Primary School was nominated for an Active Westminster Award 2016. We were very excited to find out that we had been shortlisted and invited to attend an awards ceremony at Lords Cricket Ground. Miss Coleman and Mrs Duffy represented the school.

The evening started with some wonderful singers and entertainment and we even watched a world record be broken. Congratulations to Dan Magness who broke the word record for how many times he could skip whilst heading a ball in 60 seconds! The awards were presented by a number of VIPs including an Olympian and the Lord Mayor of Westminster. It was inspiring to see the  outstanding work within our local community to improve the lives of residents and neighbourhoods through sport and physical activity. Congratulations to the winners in the different categories. Unfortunately we did not win but we are very proud of our Highly Commended Award. Well done and thank you to Mrs Duffy for her work to improve physical education provision at St.Vincent’s, supported by our wonderful Sports Ambassadors.
