This week, we’ve been having lots of fun exploring The Gruffalo!

As part of our learning, the children created their very own Gruffalo faces, inspired by the creature’s features in the story.

First, we painted paper plates brown to make the Gruffalo’s furry face. We coloured his eyes a bright orange and carefully added black pupils.

The next day, we coloured and cut out the Gruffalo’s ears, drew on his nose and big grin, adding his tusks and sharp teeth to his mouth, and finished with a poisonous green wart on the end of his nose!

The children really enjoyed bringing their Gruffalo faces to life and showed great focus, creativity and fine motor control throughout the activity.

Everyone was so excited to proudly show off their finished creations to their parents at home time on Friday.

Well done Reception for your fantastic creations!

They look so very wonderful…
