This afternoon, we had our special Building Learning Powers afternoon and focused on our new learning power; being reflective.

We talk about how mistakes are only good if we learn from them – otherwise we would keep making the same mistake and not getting any better. Everyone makes mistakes. Did you know Thomas Edison made 600 mistakes before he made the light bulb, that’s so many mistakes!!

In groups, we had to work together (being reciprocal!) to build the tallest tower out of playing cards. It was so hard, but then we stopped and had a big discussion. We realised that the main problem was the cards slipping on the table, so we then tried building them on the carpet – success!

By being reflective in everything we do, we canĀ achieve anything!
