Class 6 had a fantastic time at the R.A.F. Museum today. As we have been studying World War II, we were really interested to learn more about the experiences of civilians on the Home Front and the brave R.A.F. pilots on the battlefront. Highlights included meeting a real former pilot who told us about his experiences in the R.A.F., seeing an enormous Lancaster bomber plane, meeting an Air Raid Warden, surviving an air-raid and dressing up in genuine World War II uniforms worn by R.A.F. personnel during the Battle of Britain.
