In our Computing lessons this half term, we’ve been learning how to use 3D modelling.
We’ve been using a program called Tinkercad. On Tinkercad you can design your own model, just like you would do if you were to 3D print something.
We had to learn how to insert 3D shapes and then manipulate them. We had to work out which buttons would resize, rotate and lift our shape in different ways. As we were using more and more shapes in our design, we had to work out how to group them together. We’ve used copy and paste to duplicate them as well as inserting smaller see-through shapes to create a hollow shape.
It’s been fun to use this program to design a house! Architects use 3D modelling software to create their designs, so we did the same. We hope you like our designs!
