In our Computing lessons, we’ve been using Scratch to create our own versions of a ‘catching’ game. We had to learn how to add different types of code to control our different sprites. This involved a log of debugging as we made some mistakes along the way, but having to debug helped us to spot our mistakes and make them better.
We had a set criteria for our games:
Must include a score
Must have at least three falling objects
The objects should fall at different speeds
And had a help guide to support us if we needed it.
Some of us could extend it further with different backgrounds, scores and new levels!
We had a lot of fun making our games, and even more fun having a go at playing each others!
