This half term in Computing, we have been looking at the topic of creating media with a focus on learning how to use software to edit photos. This has been a real chance for Year 4 to be creative and use our newly learnt photo editing skills to enhance or change an image.
This week we had the chance to put all of our skills to the test in order to create a media poster that showcased different animals. We had to select from a resource bank of images of animals and move them over to our Google Drawing document by using the copy and paste feature. This took some time to get used to as we had to use the keyboard shortcuts and place the images where we wanted them. We could then use the crop or rotate tools to change the images to how we wanted it to. Our teacher let us have full creative license to go mad and come up with some interesting image choices. Some of us choose to make hybrids of mixing two animals together or using some word art to enhance the effect of our image.
Next week, we will be using all of learnt tools to create a poster to showcase our favourite talents and interests so this was good practice for us. Well done Year 4 on making sure progress in computing this half term. Would images would you want to create next?
