This week, Class 3 have been studying about the River Nile. The children discovered the River Nile is in Africa. It flows northward through northeastern Africa, eventually flowing through Egypt and finally into the Mediterranean Sea.

Class 3 used their maps of Egypt to identify landmarks north, south, east and west of the River Nile.
It was interesting to discover why the Nile played such a crucial part of the Ancient Egyptian civilisation. The Egyptians relied on the Nile for fresh water, food and transportation.
