We hope all our families are enjoying a relaxing half term. Whilst the school is officially closed for the holiday, we have continued to be very busy.

Scaffolding towers have been erected from the courtyard to the roof to enable access to the roof playground for workmen to try and find the source of a leak-which they can then repair.

There are also lots of works happening outside the school linked to the Moxon Street Car Park development. UK Power Networks (UKPN) had planned to disconnect the electricity to the site in December. However, they subsequently discovered that the power supply to the car park was also supplying power to nearby properties on St Vincent’s Street and to certain streetlights on Blandford Street at the junction of Aybrook Street. Consequently, the power supply could not be disconnected as planned. This caused a delay to the works as the power cables are located in the pavement where they need to remove the pavement vaults. Concord had to wait for UKPN to separate the various supplies before they could make further progress. The work on Cramer Street is taking place now and has involved some digging up of the road.

The water supply for the Moxon Street Car Park site is also being disconnected by Thames Water. This work is currently taking place on St. Vincent’s Street between Aybrook and Cramer Streets and has also required the road to be dug up at this location.

All these works should be completed before we return to school on Monday.

Finally, please be reminded that this weekend a Tower Crane is scheduled to be  installed on the Howard de Walden St.Vincent Street/ Marylebone High Street site subject to weather conditions. This will require the partial road closure of Marylebone High Street.

More details of all the neighbouring projects can be found on our Community Developments page.
