This week there were lots of brilliant events to celebrate Health and Fitness Week at St. Vincent’s!
We began the week with a Mental Health workshop with Agata from Mind. We discussed what mental health is, the differences between physical and mental health and how our physical health can have an impact on our mental health. We then thought of people we could talk to if we were struggling. The workshop reminded us how important it is to speak out if we are having difficult thoughts or big feelings which way be too big to handle by 0urselves.
Then, on Wednesday, it was time for Sports Day 2022 at Paddington Recreation Ground and what an exciting day it was! There were so many events to try and get as many points as possible: The fancy dress race, the spring, the long jump, accuracy throw, rob the next, javelin, egg and spoon race and an obstacle course!

My favourite part was the long jump😋It’s was so fun and I loved jumping,But the others were really fun is well👍I wanted to do more games.
I think everyone did very good and tried their best, there were all types of things I think that I would like there to be more games next year 😊I wonder who will win?

I really liked the sports day and it was the best one I’ve ever
had!!!
Sports day was so fun and there were so many races. I was in blue💙 team and won in the javelin, egg and spoon and the obstacle race. I was so surprised that I won in the javelin as I’m not so good 👎 at it. At the end of the egg and spoon race I was laughing 😂 as I was miles in front of everybody. Lastly in the obstacle race I was sprinting past the obstacles.
Sports day was so fun although my favourite was the running race.We all did good and I can’t wait to see who wins.
I had such a great 👍🏻 time at sports day.

I really wish we could do it again soon.

It was indeed such a fun week!!! At first dressing up for rainbow 🌈 day filling up the hall with sprinkles of colours 😊 we ended it with an interactive but very fun , and hot, 🌞 sports day.

I enjoyed sports day a lot! I got to participate in so much activities, plus cheering my team on! My favourite part was tug of war, since my team was first place in every single round. It needed a lot of team work, and I am so happy we got to show that through sports activities! Well done to the team that won!
