Key Stage 2 treated us this afternoon to their wonderful Christmas Celebration at St. James’s Church.
They retold the nativity story through music, songs and Bible readings, as well as leading us in prayer. The orchestra played magnificently to open the event, Year 3 played a wonderful piece on the recorder and Year 4 sang while playing their ukuleles. There was so much fantastic singing from everyone – well done to the soloists, chamber choir and all of KS2 for singing so beautifully and enthusiastically.
Well done Key Stage 2! You have really put us in the Christmas spirit and brought joy to everyone with your singing!

I loved singing and I got to sing a solo!!! I was very exited to perform and had the best time ever!!!! I am also in chamber choir and I loved singing all those marvellous songs and I was very happy to be singing on the alter with my multiple friends next to me!!!!!! I am very exited for our next school celebration at easter!!! I cant wait to sing more songs as it is an honour to be a part of this school and singing!!!
I loved the Christmas celebration.I liked how the orchestra piece sounded really nice at the end. There was so much lovely singing and well done to the soloist as you sung in front of a massive audience.
Being part of the chamber choir and the orchestra has been an enriching experience in my life. It has taught me discipline and imparted so much musical knowledge. I still remember how I went for the practises with Miss Siswick and Mr. Hylton in the morning.
I enjoyed learning new songs and hymns.
Singing with my class mates was a lot of fun.
Thank you for teaching me music and singing. I enjoyed every moment and I am looking forward to starting again in the New year 2026.
