We’ve really enjoyed our Christmas novel: War Game by Michael Foreman. This is a historical-fiction based on World War 1. We were inspired to ‘write letters home’ about the famous Christmas truce. The Christmas truce was a series of widespread unofficial ceasefires along the Western Front of World War 1 around Christmas 1914. Men played games of football with one another, creating one of the most memorable images of the truce. It has really made us appreciate what we have and to remember what Christmas is all about… peace, love and kindness.

Well done Year 5 for a brilliant term!

We wish Mrs Robinson good luck and we will miss her a lot.

We also wish Miss Sadh all the best with the rest of her teacher training course.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
