This week, Year 1 completed their Phonics Screening Check!
Since September, the children have been working incredibly hard. We have been revisiting familiar sounds, learning new ones, blending words, and tackling those tricky words too. Phonics has been part of our daily routine, and the children’s enthusiasm and determination have been truly impressive.
To celebrate their hard work, we enjoyed a well earned treat of ice lollies on the roof! This was a lovely way to celebrate the children and their hard work.
A huge thank you to all the adults who have supported us in school and to our wonderful parents for your continued help at home.
