On Monday, Class 3 went to Paddington Recreation Ground to take part in a Stone Age adventure.  The children were thrilled to have travelled by train and the day just got better and better!

The children began looking for Stone Age animal footprints in the woods, as well as hunting for Stone Age seeds and grains.  They then discovered how people were treated for illness during the Stone Age. Then, in pairs, they made their own potions to cure a range of illnesses (using only natural ingredients)!

After lunch, the children made a cave painting, made fire and in teams worked together to build their own Stonehenge!

The children have further developed their knowledge of the Stone age to Iron Age through a truly hands on experience, and they thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it!
