In Year 6, we have been learning about light. We’ve learn that light travels in straight lines and that we see by light from the sun reflecting off an object and into our eyes.
Today we turned out all the lights so that we could investigate shadows. Our aim was to see how changing the distance between the torch and an object changed the size of the shadow.
We all made predictions and then did the experiment to see if our predictions were right.
We found that the closer the object is to the torch, the bigger the shadow!
I really loved doing this experiment it was very fun to learn.
It was great to learn and look at the shadows and how they get bigger or smaller.
I loved doing this experiment as it was fun to make our own shadows.
I loved it

It was so fun to see shadow and make them.
This was really fun as now I know how things I see on a daily basis work.
