We are excited to be celebrating Science Week 2026 in school! This year’s theme is “Curiosity: What’s Your Question?”, encouraging children to ask questions, explore ideas and discover more about the world around them.

Throughout the week, every class will be taking part in fun science investigations, giving children the opportunity to experiment, predict and explore different scientific ideas in an engaging and hands-on way. We are also delighted to be welcoming a special science visitor to school who will be delivering an exciting session for the children.

🧪 Science Poster Competition
As part of our celebrations, we are launching a Science Week poster competition. Children are invited to create a poster about Childhood and what makes a positive childhood.

When designing the poster, children could think about the following questions:
• What makes your life good or positive?

Children could consider hobbies or favourite activities and other things that bring them joy
• Where do you enjoy being?

Places that are special to them

• Are there any people that make your life positive?

This could be teachers, family, coaches or other influences in their lives
• What do you think a positive childhood will look like in the future?

📌 Poster Guidelines:
• Posters should be A4 or A3 in size
• They must be flat so that we can display them in school
• All posters need to be handed in by Friday 20th March

🏆 Prizes
There will be competition winners from EYFS, KS1 and KS2 and each winner will receive a great prize!

We can’t wait to see all the creative and thoughtful posters. Thank you for supporting your children in celebrating Science Week 2026 with us!
