To start our new topic off with an exciting start we went and explored deep in the ocean. We went through a tunnel which took us down to see what animals we could find hidden. The children gathers up lots of creatures and items from around the room and we collected them in nets. Then, we looked at the different things we had found. The children have great knowledge of animals from the sea already and we talked about how they move and things they can do such as a crab walking sideways, an octopus moves around using its tentacles.
We also used our outside space to create a pirate ship, the children loved getting all the resources to build a great ship they worked together and showed wonderful teamwork skills.
We can’t wait to build on these even more this topic!
