Today marked the exciting start of our new topic: Traditional Tales. To engage the children right from the beginning, they arrived dressed as different characters from fairy tales and traditional stories, which created a fun and imaginative atmosphere. We spent time talking about the various characters in the room and shared our favourite stories together.

Our focus book for the week is The Three Little Pigs. We used puppets to bring the story to life, helping the children to listen, join in, and begin retelling the story themselves.

The highlight of the day was a creative building activity. Using lots of cardboard boxes, the children worked together to construct castles and houses inspired by those found in traditional tales. They had great fun adding their own details and decorations, using drawings to make their creations unique.

Overall, it was a fantastic start to the topic, full of creativity, imagination, and enthusiasm.
