In December we sang Christmas Carols in St. Christopher’s Place to raise money for the charity St. Mungo’s. We also donated the funds from our Own Clothes day to this special cause. We are very pleased that these activities raised £424.39 for such an important charity and appreciated the lovely thank you letter that Beth sent to us on behalf of St. Mungo’s. In the letter Beth explained how this money helps to fund St. Mungo’s work including housing and supporting over 2,700 people across the country on any one night who are homeless or at risk. As well as providing a roof, the aim of the charity is to help the people they meet to recover and build lives. People such as Jordan, who came to speak to us in an assembly earlier this year about how the organisation has helped him.
