This week, the children thoroughly enjoyed retelling the Nativity story using the costumes and songs from our Christmas performance. After reading the story together, the children took on the different roles and acted out each event with great enthusiasm. It was fantastic to see them remembering key phrases such as “no room at the inn”and confidently using them at the right moments in the story.
The Nativity costumes have also been available in our role-play area, and many children chose to revisit the story independently throughout the week. Watching them retell and recreate the events in their own way was truly lovely, and a wonderful way to bring this term to a close.
We are so proud of their creativity, confidence, and growing storytelling skills.
