In the Nursery, we use every opportunity to practice our one to one counting skills. We carefully count each object by touching it and say a number for each one. Then we say how many there are all together.
Today we chose and counted groups of ‘Under the Sea’ objects. Next we chose how to record the amount using fingers and/or marks.
Can you practice this at home? You can count anything you like and try to record the final amount in any way that you like.
