Class 1 were invited to a writing workshop at the Wallace Collection. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring interesting pieces of furniture, paintings and special items. It was fascinating seeing how old some of these pieces were and what makes them unique.

During the tour of the collection, children were able to discuss the many items and expand their vocabulary by learning new words. There were lots of opportunities for children to describe what they saw and record their ideas in a little note book which they were given.

The children were encouraged to be creative with their writing and the discussion of the unique art pieces definitely enabled this!

We are looking forward to writing about our findings in class.

Many thanks to the parents that came to support us on our visit.
