We had a wonderful time at the campfire last night, it managed to stay dry and we got to roast marshmallows and sing lots of songs together. After such a busy day, everyone had a very good sleep and all slept through the night.
Our morning was very exciting as we got to open our letters from our parents. It was very special hearing from our families and we started writing our letters back.
Gail, our Sayers Croft leader, then led us around the history trail. Sayers Croft was a school during World War II and so we explored how children lived here during the war, including going inside a real air raid shelter.
After that, we had a Ballista activity. We had to make catapults in teams and then we fired wet sponges at the other teams. It was a lot of fun!
We’ve just come back from our lunch which was pizza, wedges and a range of things from the salad bar. We’re off to more activities this afternoon, we can’t wait!
I’m glad you’re enjoying yourselves-despite the miserable weather!
