In September we reviewed the St. Vincent’s Homework Policy. More information about the changes can be found on the Curriculum and Ethos / Home Learning page.

Below you will find a sample of the Creative Homework from each year group this term. It has been fantastic to see the children arriving at school on Monday mornings excited to show off the work they have completed over the weekend.

If you have any feedback suggestions about homework please see Miss Coleman or Ms Hackett.

Year 5 Write a poem starting ‘Our class ……’ showing the qualities of the class.

Our class may be stubborn,

And rarely ever mean,

But they are also kind,

And generous on occasions

Therefore proving to be

A trustworthy class

With kind-hearted souls,

And meaningful speeches…

Such as:

“Come with me, I’ll be your friend!”

Or “You’ve been kind to me! I’ll be willing to be of help!”

Perhaps even “Your sooo kind that I would like to offer my friendship to you!”

But it’s not likely,

That the last speech

Is to be heard among all.

You see, it’s because that,

The way that God made us,

Humanity is not perfect.

And saying those words,

People do frightening things,

To innocent people.

But enough of that!

It’s time to get….

POSITIVE!

My class, no-matter what anyone else thinks, is a rainbow….

A rainbow of love, kindness, and friendship!

Those emotions and qualities bond us together.

And together, we can be conductors of Jesus’ light! By AB
