Year 2 wowed everyone with a lively and educational school assembly based on the theme Food and Farming in the UK. The performance followed a group of children on a mission to make the perfect Sunday roast—but first, they had to discover where all the ingredients came from!

Enter Farmer Joe, who guided the children on a journey across the UK to explore different farms. Along the way, they learned about how vegetables are grown, how livestock is raised, and even the environmental impact of farming on our planet. The assembly was packed with fun facts, humour, and important messages about food origins and sustainability.

To top it all off, the children treated the audience to fantastic musical performances, including Country Roads, Food, Glorious Food, and a high-energy, farm-themed rendition of Shake It Off. Their enthusiasm, creativity, and teamwork shone throughout the performance.
