We had a very fun afternoon at the Wallace Collection. We were given a special writer’s notebook that we could use to put all our writing ideas in. Whenever we stopped to look at a painting, we imagined what the people would have felt like and wrote lots of ideas in our notebooks. We collected lots of descriptive words to describe what the people looked like and jotted these all into our notebooks.

We learnt some new words from that we can use in our writing

Balustrade – like a bannister, you hold it as you walk down the stairs (CE)

Hoodwink – a little cap that hawks wear (KB)

Apollo – the Greek god of the sun (FC)

We really enjoyed our trip. Thank you to the parents for helping us!
