This half term in PE, Year 4 have been taking part in Yoga which has helped us to move and stretch our bodies whilst also calming our minds. Yoga also helps us to manage our stress and emotions by allowing us to enjoy a peaceful moment during the busy school week.
Our focus has been on improving our balance, strength and flexibility through doing poses such as tree pose, lunge pose, cow pose and the chair pose. We have also been concentrating on our breathing to help us remain calm and focused whilst we are keeping our bodies still throughout the various poses. The trick is to have a solid base and then focus on keeping our breathing consistent throughout.
It has been so good to see how flexible, focused and enthusiastic everyone has been during the lessons whilst also giving fantastic effort especially when some poses have been very tricky.
Well done Year 4, what do you think is the most difficult yoga pose and why?
