Class 4 had a fabulous time at the Wallace Collection today!

In the morning we were all welcomed by the lovely Wallace Collection staff who told us all about Richard Wallace before giving us a conservation demonstration. After that we set off cleaning the balustrade. We had to wear gloves and use special brushes to make sure we reserved the gold.

Throughout the day we worked in small groups around the museum. These included working in the shop to price stock, polishing armour (we even got to try on a 500 year-old helmet) and working at the front desk to welcome visitors and offer them maps.

We had great fun radioing other groups on the walkie-talkies and making announcements on the tannoy!

Thank you very much to the Wallace Collection for hosting such a wonderful day and to all the parents who came to visit us whilst we were hard at work!
