Year 6 celebrated their time at St Vincent’s with a beautiful Leavers’ Mass today. Father Christopher led the Mass and inspired us with his sermon about Christopher Columbus. He told  us all that, like Columbus, when we are travelling into the unknown on life’s journey we can take comfort in the Eucharist. Father Christopher also reminded us that the word ‘Eucharist’ actually means ‘Thank you’- an appropriate thought as  Year 6 look back on their time at St Vincent’s and give thanks for their learning, their caring teachers, strong friendships and wonderful experiences. After the Mass, the children (and teachers!) were thrilled to receive ‘Class of 2016 Graduation’ t-shirts. Thank you so much to the fabulous St Vincent’s Parents’ Association for this generous gift which will help us to remember our happy time together. Everyone also tucked into a delicious cake made by Chanel’s mum for the occasion.
