Wednesday Word 14.01.26 WITNESS

The Wednesday Word this week is WITNESS. In the gospel Jesus talks about the heavens coming down to him when he was getting baptised. John was a witness and he described and told the others that he saw the great heavens and that John was the chosen one by God.
I will be God’s witness by being kind and saying please and thank you.
Witness means to show and tell others about your faith by how you speak or act
John the basptist witnessed Jesus being the chosen one, the son of God and he spread the good news. Like him we can help people by speeding God’s words.
This week’s Wednesday Word is witness. In the gospel, John had saw Jesus walking towards him. He told the crowd that this was the person he was talking about. Then, John started talking about him witnessing the Son of God.
We can be witnesses like John by:
. Telling the truth
. Sharing with others
. Spreading the Good News
Together, we pray that we can be witnesses like John.
Amen.
This week’s Wednesday word is WITNESS. It is about John the Baptist, who told people that something exciting will happen and that Jesus is God‘s chosen one. We should follow his example and share God‘s love with other people.
The Wednesday word is new start. I’m grateful for a new year and a new start. 🙏
In the gospel Jesus humbled himself and asked John the baptist to baptise him. He explained to John his cousin that this was the plan of God the Father. The holy spirit came upon Jesus duting his baptism so that the prophecy would be fulfilled. People witnessed an incredible miracle.
The word that stood out for me is ‘baptism’ because it reminds me of babies and babies are special. Jesus was not a baby when he was baptised though. St John the Baptist was witness to it.
This week’s word is “WITNESS”. Jesus is God incarnated and he is here to bring God good news. That is what John said of him. We have to be witness of Jesus too, spreading God’s love.
God is the light of the world, and we pray for him.
We want to share God’s love to everyone and he wants us make him proud of us.
Baptism is not just about the water that makes us clean on the outside. It’s really the start of a new life of faith.
Jesus gathers people around him, he builds a happy community that will follow him. We can be part of Jesus’ community by praying and following god’s word.
This weeks Wednesday word is Witness. A witness is someone who sees an event take place. In the Gospel, John the baptist was telling many people about Jesus, who was walking towards them. He told them about when he baptised him, and when a dove flew over Jesus. He then said that he heard Gods voice saying ” One day, when you are baptising with waters, you will see a man who the holy spirit rests upon. He will be the one who will baptise others with the holy spirit.” The word ‘witness’ links to this Gospel as John the Baptist said he witnessed God speaking to him and that he saw the Holy Spirit. In our daily lives, we can be witnesses of Jesus’ love by showing honesty and integrity, sharing and being kind to others in general.
This week’s Wednesday Word is COMMUNITY. In the Gospel, Jesus heard that John the Baptist was arrested. Then, as He walked past the sea of Galilee, Jesus saw Simon Peter and Andrew and told them “Follow me.” Then He saw James and John, the sons of Zebedee. They also followed him.
This week’s word is community. We can be part of one like:
. School community
. Marylebone community
. House community
We should always tell our community if we feel worried about something. Dear God,
I pray that others will be accepted into communities. Amen.
As a community we should all work together and help each other. we should pray that communities all work together and have no arguments so we can see and feel the kingdom of God. This could make a difference in the world. If we all work together to do this there will be more peace in the world and just a small act could make a big difference. This is how God would want us to look after the world.
The words that stood out for me are ‘gatherer of people’ because I learned yesterday that this means sharing the Good News with other people and not trapping them in fisher nets.
This week’s Wednesday word is COMMUNITY. It is where we find love, forgiveness and safety. We should follow Jesus example and look after our friends and family.
Last week’s Wednesday Word was Witness.God calls us all to be Witnesses of Jesus. We can do this by putting others first. This week’s Wednesday Word is Community.Jesus went round his community preaching in Synagogues and curing sick people. We can love our school community by helping everyone who needs it even if there not our friends.
Community is when we all work together.
This weeks word is Community .
In the Gospel James and John leave everything to follow Jesus. You can do this by tying to go to church every Sunday or you can stop what your doing and try to pray.
This week’s word is COMMUNITY. We read of when John,James and Peter were praying on a mountain and a voice came from a cloud. We can be a good community by helping someone when they are hurt and being kind.
This week’s word is COMMUNITY. Jesus wants us to be together supporting each other. In this way we can do everything faster and in a better way, following Jesus example.
The Wednesday Word of the week, is COMMUNITY.
To me, community is:
. Church
. School
. Activity
. Local Park
. Shops
. Neighbours
Community is important because we can help each other and be good friends who speak kindly to one another. We can show this with good body language , siting up right and looking at each other when talking.
Happiness is the week’s Wednesday word. We should be happy in earth and make people happy and we will have a great life in heaven.
Happy are we when we follow God’s words!!!
This Wednesday Word is happiness. We can all feel happiness anywhere like at a park, at home andat school. God always wanted us to feel happiness about anything including his beautiful creation, our home. We can make God feel happiness by protecting his world.
This week’s Wednesday Word is happiness.Jesus and God is where all happiness is found. When Jesus was teaching the Beatitudes he showed that money or power doesn’t bring you true happiness but loving God and going to heaven does.
This weeks word is happiness. It shows the beatitudes as they were teachings for Jesus to live happily with another.
This week’s Wednesday word is HAPPINESS! Happiness is the feeling where you have great joy in yourself. In the gospel Jesus teaches his disciples about the beatitudes. They are ways on how to live a good, happy life and about our attitude.
This week’s Wednesday Word is HAPPINESS. In the gospel, Jesus was on the top of a hill and started preaching. He was talking about True Happiness. Jesus said God is the owner of heaven and if you forgive, be meek and gentle, you will receive true happiness in heaven.)
We can spread happiness by:
1) Being kind
2) Share and always care for others
3) Donate to the poor
These are just few examples, but if you do them, you will gain true happiness.
Community means being together and include everyone.
Community means being kind and nice to your friends and others.
This week’s word is HAPPINESS. In the Gospel, Jesus teaches the Beatitudes which helps us to live happy lives.
We could follow them by:
1) Follow God even if you are going to be persecuted
2) Asking God to help you
3)Be nice and kind to others
To make some one happy I will make them a card.
This week’s Wednesday word is Happiness . In the gospel, Jesus sees a crowd and climbs up a hill . I think that in the gospel Jesus tries to teach us that if we are respectful and loving in our lives we will have a happy and never ending life in heaven with him . Being kind is simple it can be small but to a big difference to someone else , for example put overs before you and guide the poor , sick and lonely .
This weeks word is HAPPINESS! Jesus talks about beatitudes with calmness in his voice. Beatitudes are commandments but much smoother. They are kinder and polite. In the gospel Jesus says beatitudes are bringing happiness to the world so people could treat each other as their neighbours. This gospel teaches Christians to love God, love our planet, love others and more about heaven.
This weeks Gospel is HAPPINESS. So in the Gospel , Jesus was talking about Happiness. And if we forgive each others we find happiness in Heaven.
This week’s Wednesday Word is Happiness. In the Gospel Jesus preached about the beatitudes. These are similar to the Ten Commandments and were preached by Jesus.
The beatitudes are important because they help christians have an understanding about how to live a good life.
This week’s word is HAPPINESS. Jesus said that if you’re kind and forgiving you will be happy on Earth and will be rewarded in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Jesus says that real HAPPINESS is to be kind, gentle, caring and merciful. Not to know how to do everything.
This weeks Wednesday word is HAPPINESS. Happiness is a feeling of joy, pleasure and contentment. In this weeks Gospel, Jesus is teaching his disciples about the Beatitudes. One of the Beatitudes are,“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven“. The Wednesday Word links to the Gospel as the Beatitudes are Jesus’ way of life and the way of true happiness. Some of the ways we can spread happiness is by being kind and caring, by sharing and by living happily with each other.
This week’s Wednesday Word is GOODNESS. In the Bible, Jesus said ”You are the salt in the earth. But if salt becomes tasteless, what can make it salty again? It is good for nothing, and can only be trampled underfoot by men. You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill top cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp to put it under a tub; they put it on a lamp stand where it shines for everyone in the house. In the same way your light must shine in the sight of all people, so that, seeing your good works, they may give praise to your Father in heaven.”
This week’s Wednesday word is about GOODNESS. In the gospel Jesus tells us that we should be kind and let our lights shine to other people. This means that we should follow Jesus’ example in helping others and showing them kindness.
This weeks Wednesday word is GOODNESS .Having goodness means being kind and helpful at any cost. Jesus said that we should let our light shine by always helping those in need .
This week’s word is GOODNESS.In the gospel Jesus represents goodness with salt and he’s trying to teach us to be kind.So we should follow what Jesus says and pray to Jesus and God.
This week’s Wednesday word is GOODNESS. Jesus says that we need to be kind and respectful to others.
This week Wednesday word is goodness. Goodness links to the Gospel because Jesus said we should the taste to the salt by bringing goodness to the word, we should be the light of the world by being examples.
The word that stood out for me is ‘reward’. True happiness is loving others and God will reward you in heaven.
I will let my light shine by doing good listening.
This week’s Wednesday Word is goodness. In the gospel, Jesus says to his disciples that they are the salt of the Earth, which means that they do good things. But when he says if the salt becomes tasteless, he means what if it spreads evil? So it is our job to be the salt of the world.
We can let our light shine by sharing with others, listening always and saying positive things.
God wants people to have faith, to be happy, caring and kind to others who need support. For example, helping friends and being there for them when they need us.
This Wednesday word is goodness .We can even show goodness through our actions towards others. For example we can
.help people
. be kind
.follow Jesus’ way trough our actions
we can even just try to make other peoples day enjoyable.
This week’s Wedensday Word is GOODNESS. In the gospel, Jesus teaches the discples that if you are the salt and it is tasteless,
then you cannot put it back. I think this means that if we make the wrong choice, it cannot undo itself.
This weeks word is GOODNESS. Jesus told us to spread our light to the world by being kind and caring to other people in our world. You can do this by …….
Playing with someone that is feeling left out or upset.
Helping your parents with chores.
The Wednesday word teaches us how to shine our light and all our personalities as we can all be one happy community.
The word that stood out for me is ‘salt’ because Jesus said you are the salt of the earth. Goodness for me means to LOVE others because goodness is love. God is loving. My special goodness is helpfulness. Every time someone is looking for something in the house, I run and find it! Paul’s goodness is honesty. My mum’s goodness is honesty too and lovingness.
This week’s Wednesday Word is TEACHER. In this week’s gospel, Jesus is preaching his disciples about the commandments. He says that he did not come to destroy the law\commandments, but came to complete them. He says anyone who practises the Law will go to heaven.
We can follow this gospel’s moral by:
. Sharing with others
. Praying to God
If we follow these, we can go to heaven!
This week’s Wednesday Word is Teacher. In the Gospel Jesus tells us that he did not come to destroy what the Prophets said but to make it true and that not one part of the Law will disappear until it’s purpose has been achieved. He says that whoever follows these Commandments will be called great in heaven. We can follow these Commandments every day by showing that Jesus’ love exists inside us.Jesus is the true teacher of the world.
The Wednesday word is TEACHER. A teacher is someone who teaches someone. In the gospel Jesus said that he was making a new and clearer version of the 10 commandments but he is not removing or changing anything.
He also says that if anyone disobeys the commandments they will be called the least of the kingdom.
This week’s word is TEACHER. Jesus does not come to cancel prophets’ word, but to explain its true sense. We have to follow his teaching if we want to be part of the Kingdom of Heaven.
This week’s Wednesday word is TEACHER. Jesus is our teacher so we should follow his example by spreading his word and being kind and helpful.
The words that stood out for me are ‘kingdom of heaven’ because Jesus said that good teachers will be great in the kingdom of heaven. My favourite teacher is Miss McCarry because she taught me that Jesus is not only here for one minute but forever and everywhere.
Thank you Miss McCarry, Mrs Hope, Miss Hector and Miss Kupi for teaching us to be kind.
This weeks word is teacher. Jesus tells us to be kind to one another and to forgive .
You can be kind by
.helping someone when they need it,trying to share even when its hard and you can also forgive.
This Wednesday Word is Teacher. Jesus says he doesn’t replace the prophets but he makes their prophecies come true.
This weeks Wednesday word is TEACHER. In the Gospel, Jesus told his disciples that he did not come to destroy the prophets teachings, but instead came to fulfil them. Jesus teaches us to be kind and loving to each other. We can do this by helping each other and forgiving each other, even when it is hard.
This weeks Wednesday Word is LENT. Lent is the time before Easter, when Jesus fasted in the desert. Lent begins on Ash Wednesday and lasts 40 days. In the Gospel, Jesus was being tempted by Satan to break his fast. Lent is a time for us to make an extra effort to listen carefully to God’s word and to try to make changes for the better.
This week’s Wednesday Word is Lent.In the Gospel Jesus was fasting in the desert when Satan came and tempted him to sin.Jesus resisted the temptation and this is an example to all of us.Resisting sin can be hard ,especially when we think we will be more happy if we do.However all true happiness is found through God and we can pray to God to ask him to guide us so we do not sin.
This week’s Wednesday Word is Sacred. In the Gospel Jesus goes to a mountain top to pray with Peter ,James and John.Whilst they were their Jesus transformed and began to shine white.Moses and Elijah appeared and talked with him and God’s voice said “This is my son”.The Miracle of the Transformation is where we find out Jesus is the son of God.Before the people thought of him as their teacher.
This week’s Wednesday Word is LENT. In the gospel, we see Jesus fasting in the desert for 40 days. Then Satan came to Him and asked Him to turn these stones into loaves. Later, the tempter tempted Him twice but each time, Jesus refused. Eventually, Satan left and angels appeared and looked after Jesus.
We can prepare ourselves for Lent by giving up something, like a device, a snack or try to develop a new habit like being kind and caring. We can also say the Our Father prayer.
Jesus is sacred as he is the son of God
This weeks Wednesday word is SACRED. The word sacred means to be connected to God. This weeks Gospel is the story of the Transfiguration. In the Gospel, Jesus went up a mountain with two of his disciples to pray. While they were praying, Jesus’ face changed and his clothes became dazzling white. Moses and Elijah appeared next to him and were talking to him. Then, God’s voice said “ This is my beloved son. Listen to him“. In the Gospel we learn that Jesus is the true son of God. The word transfiguration is when someone or something’s appearance completely changes into a more beautiful or spiritual state. This happened to Jesus and it shows that he is truly Sacred.
This week’s Wednesday Word is SACRED. In the gospel, Peter, James, John and Jesus went to pray on a mountaintop. Then, Jesus shone dazzling white as Moses and Elijah suddenly appeared. Moses represented the commandments and Elijah represented the prophets. Then, a white cloud came over them and said, ” This is my son, and I am pleased with Him. Listen to him!” It was God’s voice. When they went down the mountaintop, Jesus ordered them not to tell anyone what they saw.
We can be more holy/sacred by praying at home with our families and going to Church every Sunday.
My lenten promise is to help my parents at home.
This weeks word is TEACHER! In the gospel Jesus talks about the laws and prophets saying he have not come to destroy them but complete them and show us what they mean. Jesus says this ” Until earth and heaven disappear not a pixel of the law or the prophets will be gone, ” . This means nothing will be erased from them. Whoever disobeys the law neither the prophet and teaches them will be called least in heaven , and whoever studies the law and the prophet and teaches them will be called great in heaven. This teaches Christians that there are great people in the world but also bad people. It also teaches that to never give up when it’s for you or if you are working with somebody.
The word that stood out for me is ‘clothing’ because JESUS clothing turned all white and l like wedding dresses! ‘Sacred’ means something very special and Jesus is special and loving! My special place is my bedroom because l feel most at peace there.
This week’s Wednesday word is GOD’S LOVE. Love is like a spring of water inside us and help us feeling alive. Jesus also teaches us that we have to take care of each other without discrimination and beyond differences.
This weeks Wednesday Word is GOD’S LOVE. God’s love for us is everlasting. God will always forgive us if we do something wrong no matter what. In the Gospel Jesus said something we HAVE to remember, love one another as I have loved you. This means you have to love one another as Jesus has loved you. It also means we all love the same number of people.💕💕
This week’s Wednesday word is GOD’S LOVE. Jesus said that the water he could offer the lady was more than she could ever give him. That is because he ment that he could offer her God’s love which gives eternal life.
This week’s Wednesday Word is God’s love. He loves us all equally no matter who we are or where we come from. We should use lent to renew our faith in God as he loves protects us.
This week’s Wednesday Words are GOD’s LOVE. In the gospel, Jesus went to the town of Sychar and after the long, tiring journey, He rested on Jacob’s Well but then a woman came. Jesus demanded her for water. She was surprised since Jews do not usually talk to Samaritans. They had started a mini argument.
God loves all of us equally. God’s gift is his love and his words for us . In the gospel Jesus offers living water which is god’s love.
I will show God’s love by being more like Feodora. She is kind and honest.
The word is God’s love. God’s love for us is never ending and we should never forget that.
This weeks Wednesday word is Gods Love. In the Gospel, Jesus went to the town of Sychar. After his journey, he went to a well where he met a Samaritan woman. He asked her if she could give him a drink. The Samaritan woman then asked Jesus why he was asking her for water when he was a Jew. Jesus replied telling her that if she knew who she was talking to, she would have given him water instantly. God’s love is everlasting and he will always forgive us if we do something wrong. Some ways we can spread God’s love is by helping each other, donating to charities and sharing.
God’s love is special to me because God is in my heart! God’s love is like a power. The word that stood out for me is ‘water’ and Jesus said ‘Whoever drinks this water will never be thirsty again’.
The Wednesday word is HEALING. In the gospel Jesus heals a blind man by mixing his spit with the man and put it on the man’s eyes.Jesus then told him to clean it off at the river. But the crowd was thinking to each other if he was really the Son of God but they thought He was just someone else who looks like Jesus. He went over to the blind man and Jesus asked him “Do you believe in the Son of God?” But the man replied “I do not believe until I have seen Him with my own eyes.” Jesus answered “well you are looking at him now.” So the man believed.
This gospel shows how we believe in Jesus because he performs miracles no one else can do so he is special.
This week’s Wednesday Word is HEALING. Jesus helped the blind man to see. Jesus is the light of the world and he will bring us comfort on difficult days. We just have to believe in him.
The word that stood out for me is ‘blind’ because being blind would be horrible for me because l would be scared and SCREAM. Healing means happiness for me.
God heals people which means he brings love, hope, faith to people . Us as well we can heal people but not exactly like Jesus we can heal people when we care for them.
God heals people which means he bring love, hope, faith to people. Us as well we can heal people, but not exactly like Jesus, we heal people when we care for them.
Today’s Wednesday word is HEALIING. To me, it means like making someone feel better.
Today’s Wednesday word is HEALIING. To me, it means making someone feel better.E/Example: Jesus healed the blind man.
This week’s Wednesday Word is HEALING. In the gospel, there was a blind man who could not see. Jesus saw him and He spat on the ground, making a paste with spittle and put it on the man’s eyes. Jesus told him to wash his eyes, and then he was healed. People were asking each other ”Is that the beggar?” When the man told them what happened, they did not believe him.
The Wednesday word of this week is HEALING. Sometime there could be some difficulties in our lives but through prayers we can afford them in the best way. Because Jesus is always there for us, ready to lend a hand.
This weeks gospel is HEALING. in the gospel there was this man who could not see and Jesus met him. Jesus spat and made paste with the spittle. Then he put some above his eye and said go and wash his eyes and the man did what he was told and he returned with his sight back.
This week’s word is HEALING. Gospel means that our prayers to God and our faith in Jesus can heal everything.
In the Gospel Jesus met a woman while he was sitting down because he was tired. Jesus said give me a drink and she was surprised because Samaritans and Jews don’t normally talk to each other. Jesus said that if you drink the water from the well you will be thirsty again. But if you drink from the water that I will give you will never be thirsty again.
This week I will bring healing by praying for the sick.
This weeks word is GODS LOVE! In the gospel jesus asks a women for a drink and the women said that Jews and Samaritans don’t talk to eachother but Jesus said that if you drink from this well you will be thirsty but if you drink my water you will not be thirsty. This teaches Christians and everyone that water is more important than everyone thinks it is.
This weeks Wednesday gospel is healing. Jesus heals the man born blind, highlighting that true sight comes from faith. We do not have to physically see the presence of Jesus but see with our faith.
We can “see” with our hearts by being kind, helping others, and sharing God’s love, even when things are difficult and do not go as we expect it.
This day is also called “Laetare Sunday”. “Laetare” is the first word of the Mass in Latin this Sunday
and it means “Be joyful”. It is the halfway point in Lent, when the mood becomes a little brighter,
therefore, in many parishes, the colours of the day is rose (a lighter version of Lenten purple).
