We were so pleased to make the most of the beautiful weather today, spending the entire day outdoors enjoying a range of hands-on, exploratory activities. The children were especially drawn to our water play area, where their curiosity and creativity truly flourished.

Using a variety of resources such as toy cars, half pipes, and containers, the children worked together to create their own race tracks. They eagerly experimented with different setups, testing which cars moved the fastest and discussing their ideas with one another. By pouring jugs of water down the pipes, they explored how force and flow could help propel the cars, making thoughtful observations about what worked best.

As their interest developed, the children began to think more critically about how they could increase the speed of the cars. They independently selected wooden blocks to build ramps, adjusting the height and angle to see how this changed the outcome. This led to rich conversations, problem-solving, and collaborative thinking as they refined their designs.
