Our new topic this half term is  ‘Minibeasts!’

A ‘minibeast’ is any animal that is smaller than a mouse, that does not have a spine or back bone!

So that includes insects, spiders, beetles, snails, worms, centipedes… the list goes on. 

Can you tell us about any minibeasts you have seen?

Can you tell us about any minibeasts you already know about?

Can you tell us your favourite minibeast and why?

We can’t wait to hear and learn lots about Minibeasts this half term!

    I love this topic!
    My favourite minibeasts are dragonflies. I think they are beautiful. They also think they are beautiful!
    “My wings are like shimmering rainbows
    And my body’s a dazzling green
    Of all the animals here in this pond
    Surely I must be the Queen!”
    There are so many songs and rhymes that we can learn for this topic.
    When I was little I used to keep Sick Insects, that was fun but they didn’t do much!
    I can’t wait to hear about all of your favourite minibeasts.
